Ramas Bienestar

Renovation and fit-out of an approximately 40 m² commercial space in El Zoco Shopping Centre, in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, for the creation of Ramas Bienestar, a centre dedicated to wellbeing, massage treatments, workshops and collaboration with professionals from different disciplines.

This project stems from a relationship of trust built over time. Ana had already worked with Nala Studio on the renovation of her home and its outdoor areas, and once again placed her trust in us to shape a very personal project: a space of her own where she could develop her professional activity and create a carefully considered, serene environment, consistent with her own understanding of wellbeing.

From the outset, Ana had a very clear idea of the atmosphere she wanted to achieve. We were not starting from an undefined concept, but from a strong identity: natural materials, warm tones, greenery, light textiles, wood, fibres and a calm aesthetic, designed so that the space would convey a sense of peace from the very first moment.

The interior of the premises was demolished in order to redesign the layout from scratch and adapt it to its new use. The intervention had to address the functional requirements of a working wellness centre — a treatment room, waiting and circulation areas, support spaces and small storage solutions — while maintaining a clean, warm and welcoming overall feel.

Inside, the arches, illuminated niches and softened passageways help organise the circulation and provide visual continuity. The lighting was designed with particular care, combining indirect light, decorative points and a warm colour temperature suited to a wellbeing space. In this type of project, lighting is not only an aesthetic matter: it directly influences how the atmosphere is perceived and how people feel within the space.

The treatment room was designed with a very neutral base, wood flooring, light-coloured walls and natural pieces that complement the space without overwhelming it. In contrast, the bathroom introduces a deep green tone that reinforces the character of the project and connects with the visual identity of Ramas Bienestar. It is a simple but effective decision: it brings depth, warmth and a direct reference to the natural world, while remaining restrained.

The result is a serene, functional space that is very much aligned with Ana. A place designed for working, welcoming, caring and hosting; but also for clearly expressing the identity of a professional project born from a highly personal vision of wellbeing.
