LUXURY APARTMENT IN GOYA

A new life for a classic luxury apartment

A new life for a classic luxury apartment

Our client was unsure whether to sell the property he had recently inherited or invest in a renovation in order to obtain a good return by placing it on the rental market. At NALA, we proposed a renovation strategy with appropriate quality standards for a luxury apartment in Madrid, while avoiding an unnecessary increase in costs through overly expensive materials.
As always, we paid close attention to details and finishes, carefully considering the layout and making the most of every available square metre. In this renovation, we worked on practically every aspect of the property: plumbing and electrical systems, windows and enclosures, wardrobes and doors, the layout and size of the bathrooms, split air-conditioning units, the kitchen, and more.
One of the key objectives of the project was to preserve and restore the beautiful existing flooring: an Indian hardwood parquet known as elondo (Dalbergia sissoo), valued for its exceptional hardness, durability and rich colour. To achieve the best possible result, we repaired and replaced the damaged areas where necessary. We then applied a light stain to soften excessive contrasts before sanding the entire floor and finishing it with three coats of water-based matt varnish. The result can be seen in the photographs.
The renovation process went very smoothly, thanks to the client’s good judgement and the excellent understanding we maintained throughout the project.
The apartment is now ready to offer a new way of living to whoever rents it.
