FULL RENOVATION IN PUERTA DE HIERRO
Making the most of natural light
Making the most of natural light
Verónica contacted us to carry out a complete intervention in this property, which she owned, had lived in some time ago and had rented out for several years.
She was looking for a full renovation of the apartment, comprising two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, terrace and kitchen.
Our work focused mainly on the complete replacement of the old heating, electrical and domestic hot water systems. The proposal was to install a radiant heating and cooling floor system powered by aerothermal energy. This required removing the very dark existing parquet throughout the apartment and breaking up the floor screed, which raised the finished floor level by approximately 4 cm.
In order to avoid replacing the entrance door, we created a small step just inside the entrance, clearly defined with a hydraulic-effect floor tile. For the rest of the apartment, we installed a large-format wood-effect tile, bringing warmth and a great deal of light into the home.
Both bathrooms were fully renovated and redistributed in order to give more space to one of them. In the kitchen, we removed the partition separating it from the living room and repositioned it so that the kitchen would no longer feel so elongated. We also integrated the laundry area into the kitchen, making better use of the space and bringing more light into the room.
In the living room, we opened a new aperture in the façade and installed a fixed glass panel, allowing more light into the space and creating a view towards the communal garden.
Verónica is very happy with her new home. Although she has moved into a smaller property, she now enjoys a highly functional, energy-efficient apartment, designed around her lifestyle and that of her family.
